Three adults have been charged after a request to check on several children living in a home on Banks Road in Oak Grove on Tuesday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say the six children were living in a home that has had no electricity for the last 4 years, animal feces was found on the ground in the bathroom next to a dirty toilet, a hole was found in the floor covered by plywood, food was stored in a cooler next to a generator outside, mold was also found inside the home, along with water damage to the ceiling.

The generator was reportedly being used with a cord going through a window into the home.

The investigation led to the arrest of 35-year-old Shanelle Bailey, 48-year-old Tina Burns, and 24-year-old Austin Christy-Burns on charges of six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
