A traffic stop on Interstate 24 in Christian County led to drug charges for two Hopkinsville women on April 10th.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Regina Cooper for only having one headlight and could smell the odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Drugs and an open alcohol beverage container could reportedly be seen in the vehicle. Deputies say after a search of Cooper and her passenger, 41-year-old Ashley Smith, and the vehicle, a glass pipe containing suspected meth, suspected marijuana, a crystal substance, and an open alcoholic beverage container were found.
