Oak Grove Man Indicted for February Shooting

An Oak Grove man has been indicted by a Christian County grand jury in connection with a February shooting.

27-year-old Hakim Bowles was indicted on charges of two counts of first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Oak Grove Police said Bowles shot Devante Jackson in the legs during a fight over unpaid money on February 8. Jackson was taken to Vanderbilt Health in Clarksville due to his injuries.

Police say Bowles fled the area after the shooting but was located about two hours later and charged.

He was also indicted in a theft of services case involving unauthorized access to water and sewer services from the City of Oak Grove, with damages between $1,000 and $10,000.
