Todd Schools Add Staff Day, Accept Facilities Funding

Todd County School Board approved a minor change to the 2025-2026 school calendar. Monday night, Board members voted to add a teacher day at the end of the school year. Superintendent Jessica Addison says they had enough built-in instructional time to cover the traditional snow day the district took two months ago, so students will not have to attend any additional days, but teachers will have to make up a staff day.

In other business, the Board approved a $47,702 offer of assistant from the School Facilities Construction Commission. Addison says they don’t have any Priority 1 projects, so there will be a future discussion on where to spend the money.

The Board also approved a mowing and maintenance contract for the athletic facilities with Blades of Glory Lawn Care, of Elkton, for $33,575.
