Art Guild’s Annual Spring Member Art Exhibition Underway

The Hopkinsville Art Guild’s annual Spring Member Art Exhibition is now open at the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium Gallery, where dozens of works by local artists will remain on display through early May.

This year’s exhibit features 80 pieces created by 26 Hopkinsville Art Guild members. The collection includes a wide range of media, including drawing, water-based painting, oil painting, pottery, and photography.

Guild officials also announced the award winners for this year’s exhibition. Peggy Luensmann received Best of Show honors. Steve Chlupsa earned first place, followed by Linda Pierce in second and Henrietta Kemp in third. Honorable mention awards went to Michala Smith, Betty Liles, Laurel King, Thea Russell, and Marti Lopez.

The exhibit is on display through May 9 and is open to the public during normal gallery hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Many of the original works in the exhibit are also available for purchase. Anyone interested in buying a piece is asked to contact the artist directly using the phone number listed with the artwork.

The Hopkinsville Art Guild regularly showcases local and regional artists through member exhibitions and community arts programming. More information about the organization is available at the guild’s website.
