ARTS & EATS
Off to the Races: a Pre-Derby Gala
Saturday, April 25
5-7:30 PM

This third event in the Arts&Eats season will provide heavy hors d’ouerves, Derby-themed beverages and special entertainment that you won’t want to miss. The focus for the evening is on all the things that make Kentucky such a special place. It will also showcase the beautiful John L. Street family home along with its period art, Victorian décor and furnishings.

This is your opportunity to enjoy Fairholme and learn about its place in Trigg history while mingling with friends celebrating the greatness that is the Kentucky Derby. Local artists will be creating works en plein aire during the event in the gardens and home. This feature has become a favorite of participants to see the creative artworks in a variety of mediums completed during the event.

A special mini-exhibit is also planned to celebrate the event with the opportunity to take home a special Derby collectible. It is guaranteed that no one else will have one like it!

The evening entertainment will be a musical ensemble with an emphasis on Kentucky and contemporary music. You might even be heralded “Off to the Races” with trumpeting and great fanfare!
Only a few tickets are remaining for purchase as space is limited. You can purchase tickets through the Museum office at 270-522-9056.

This series is developed and hosted by the Janice Mason Art Museum. The pre-Derby evening is underwritten through the generosity of Karen and Rick Clement and Nan and Greg Waldrop.

Call 270-522-9056 or visit the museum to purchase tickets.

Don’t delay – each event is limited to 40 guests.
