A Celebration of Life for Gary Malcolm Rocca, 78, of Cadiz, will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the funeral home.
Mr. Rocca died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his home.
Born March 21, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late George W. Rocca and Betty J. Peninger Rocca.
Gary Malcolm Rocca was a 1966 graduate of Lindbergh High School in St. Louis and later attended Southwest Missouri State College, where he played football. He went on to work for the United States Postal Service for 35 years and was also employed by Delehanty Consulting.
Following retirement, he and his wife moved to Cadiz, where he enjoyed life on the lake and became active in the community. He volunteered with Helping Hands and participated in water testing efforts on Lake Barkley. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, boating, gardening and volunteering. He especially loved spending time with his family, friends and former coworkers and was known for living life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Carol Delehanty-Heitgerd Rocca of Cadiz; two daughters, Lisa Stevens (Calvin) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Elizabeth Cashion (John) of St. Louis, Missouri; one son, Matthew Rocca (Kate) of Overland Park, Kansas; two stepchildren, Jennifer Heitgerd (Mark) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jeffrey Heitgerd (Katie) of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Robert Rocca (Mary) of St. Louis, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Tony Rocca (Amy) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nick Rocca (Jessica) of San Jose, California.
