The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a week of routine road maintenance work across Christian County, which means you should watch for crews, flaggers and possible brief delays in several areas.
The work will include brush cutting, ditching and pothole patching on a mix of state routes and I-24. Much of the work is expected to involve temporary lane restrictions while crews are on site.
On Monday, crews are set to perform brush cutting along KY 800 in the Crofton/Fruit Hill area and ditching work along KY 1296, with flaggers assisting traffic at both locations. The same work is planned again on Tuesday, with brush cutting continuing on KY 800 and ditching on KY 1296, in addition to pothole patching on I-24.
On Wednesday, brush cutting operations are scheduled to move to KY 189 in the Fearsville/Fruit Hill/Apex area, while ditching work continues on KY 1296.
On Thursday, brush cutting is expected to continue along KY 189, with ditching scheduled on the Hopkinsville Bypass and Concord Lane corridor, and pothole patching planned on Lafayette Road.
The week’s maintenance schedule is expected to conclude Friday with additional brush cutting along KY 189.
