Shelia Rose Merriweather, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her home in Cadiz, Kentucky. Born on July 6, 1964, she was the daughter of Sarah Talley Cox and James Gray. Her brother James “Jab” Gray also preceded her in death.
Shelia was a member of True Gospel Church of God in Christ. She was employed as a social worker at Pennyroyal Mental Health.
In Shelia’s spare time, she enjoyed fishing, reading, writing, shopping, and spending time and money on her grandchildren.
Shelia leaves to cherish her loving memory her two children, Elizabeth Carneal (Ezekiel) Conaway and Robbie Carneal; siblings, Feleica Burse, Christian Gray Cephus; and four grandchildren.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Gamble Funeral Home.
