The Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County will host the 2026 Kentucky State Youth of the Year Competition March 18–19, this Wednesday and Thursday, in Hopkinsville, bringing together top teen leaders from Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs across the Commonwealth.
The Youth of the Year program is the organization’s top honor, recognizing teens who demonstrate academic success, leadership, community service and healthy lifestyles. Finalists will take part in interviews with judges, deliver speeches and share personal stories about how their local Clubs helped shape their growth.
Terrence Davis, executive director of the Hopkinsville-Christian County club, said the event highlights young leaders who represent the impact Boys & Girls Clubs have on youth development and community leadership.
The competition will conclude with a luncheon March 18 at the Hopkinsville club where the 2026 Kentucky State Youth of the Year and Military Youth of the Year will be announced. The winners will serve as ambassadors for Boys & Girls Clubs across Kentucky and advance to regional competition with a chance to reach the national level.
