Frances Rogers Cook, age 84, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 2, 1941, in Cadiz, to Kenneth L. Rogers, Sr. and Alberta Lyons Rogers.
Frances was a 1959 graduate of Trigg County High School. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager at Trigg County Hospital. She later pursued a career as a travel agent with Pennyrile Travel in Hopkinsville before moving to Nashville, where she continued to work as a travel agent in Brentwood. While living in Nashville, she met and married her second husband, Jack Cook. She and Jack lived in Alabama where she volunteered as a tax assistant at the Senior Citizens Center in Arab.
Frances was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. She was an exceptional cook, famous for her sourdough bread and her kindness in baking and cooking for others, especially her extended family. For many years she used her culinary skills to minister to grieving families at Goodwin Funeral Home by providing them with ham and biscuits. Frances had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit, and was never at a loss for words. She enjoyed camping trips, tending to her beautiful flowers, playing cards, working puzzles, and cheering on her favorite college sports teams. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Cook; her parents, Kenneth L. Rogers, Sr. and Alberta Lyons Rogers; her brother, Larry D. Rogers; and her brothers-in-law, John R. Vinson, III and Roger Thomas; and sister-in-law, Betty Rogers.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Kim Fuller (David) of Cadiz and Kerri Stewart (Danny) of Cerulean; her grandchildren, Jessica Shelley (Lane), Kayce Stewart (Howard Humphries), Miranda McKinney (Kent), Ashton Cain (Justin), and Ireland Noisworthy (Scott); her brother, Rev. Kenny Rogers (Donna) of Gracey; her sisters, Margie Vinson and Ann Thomas, both of Cadiz; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Rogers of Gracey. She was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren: Brylee Underhill, Ida Lynne Shelley, Phoenix and Asher McKinney, Foster and Porter Cain, Talan, Ryder, Sawyer, and Gideon Wadlington, and Harper Noisworthy. Frances's life was also enriched by the companionship of her dear friends, Dorothy York and Barbara Tucker, who will miss her dearly.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers, Tina and Emily, for their kindness and compassionate care.
