Monday night, cattlemen from across Trigg County met to hear important market updates in during the Trigg County Cattlemen’s meeting at the Lexie Bush Convention Center.
Dr. Kenny Burdine with UK Martin-Gaton College of Ag spoke at the meeting, discussing previous and future market outlooks.
Burdine said consumer demand for beef and other proteins remains high.
Burdine talked about the current state of global beef trade.
He said the market is volatile, but good none-the-less.
During the meeting, Burdine also discussed the benefits of Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) when it is time to sell stock cattle.
