An Oak Grove man was charged with assaulting a woman at a home on Caroline Drive in Oak Grove on Monday afternoon.
Oak Grove Police say 28-year-old Nathaniel Alexander got into an argument with his wife over buying a camera for the home, and put his hands around her neck, then put her in a hold.
Police say she was able to get away but scratched his nose, then he blocked her from leaving the room, but she was able to get out of the room and take their child before leaving.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
