A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs during a traffic stop on Greenville Road in Christian County on Tuesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 37-year-old James Austin, and during the stop, found he had two active warrants for failure to appear.
While at the jail, deputies say two bags of suspected meth and a loaded syringe were found in his possession.
He was then charged with first-degree promoting contraband, tampering with physical evidence, and trafficking meth second or more offenses.
