Jonitta Moore, 76, Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Nashville, TN.
Jonitta, the daughter of the late Robert Moore and Hattie Caudle Moore, was born on April 12, 1949, in Hopkinsville, KY.
Jonitta was a member of First Street Baptist Church. She was a retired registered nurse at Western State Hospital. Jonitta enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Garfield Moore, Lois Moss, and Bobby Moore.
Survivors include her son, Derrick Moore; siblings, Carol Moore, Robert (Everlean) Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Shirley (Elijah) Mickel, Joyce Jones, Sherman Moore, Mitchell Moore, Michael (Joicelyn) Moore, Satorius (Ronald) Babb, and Wayne Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the First Street Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 on Thursday morning at the church.
