Gregory “Greg” Lee Gilliland, age 62, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Health from natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Harmony Grove Cemetery with Rev. Ray Gilliland officiating and burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Greg was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on October 9, 1963, the son of the late Wilbur Gilliland and Barbara Ann Knight Woody. He was an Aircraft Mechanic in the Air Force and in civilian life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He most recently worked at US Smokeless Tobacco as a forklift operator and was a member of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepbrother, Robert Woody.
Survivors include his sister, Teresa Gilliland (Edward) Pridmore of O’Fallon, IL; his stepfather, Raymond Woody of Florida; his stepmother, Peggy Gilliland of Hopkinsville; his stepbrother, Allan Woody of Florida; his stepsister, Angela (Jon) Potter of Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to a charity of the giver’s choice.
