An Oak Grove man was charged with theft of service in connection with water utility service in Oak Grove on Tuesday afternoon.
Oak Grove Police say a check for water service at the home of 47-year-old Antwain Shaw was returned due to insufficient funds, and he failed to submit a payment for the unpaid balance.
His water was then turned off. Police say he turned the water back on himself at the meter, then authorities returned and turned the water off and put a lock on the meter.
Police say Shaw cut the lock off the meter and turned the water on again. He was then arrested and charged with theft of services.
