Kimberly Renee Howell Simpson, 62, of Dawson Springs, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, at her residence.
Services will be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, she was born January 26, 1964, the daughter of Donnie Gerald Howell and Sandra Rose Boguskie Howell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Howard Simpson, Jr, and her father, Donnie Gerald Howell, and her brother, John Michael Howell, and her sister, Lisa Dawn Howell.
Survivors include her mother: Sandra Howell of Hopkinsville, KY; and her son: Steven Combs of Radcliff, KY; and her daughter: Stefanie Combs (Jeffery Moore) of Madisonville, KY; and her sisters: Donna (Kerry) Lancaster of Bowling Green, KY, Katherine (Phillip) Nash of Greensboro, NC and Leslie Howell of Charleston, SC; and her grandchildren: McKinzie Combs of Hopkinsville, KY, Logan Combs and Layten Baker of Dawson Springs, KY; and her great grandchildren: Kinzlee Combs, Aurora Combs and Ivaree Combs.
