Roads in Christian County, Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, and other areas of the county continue to be extremely hazardous as Winter Storm Fern moves out of the region.
Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says city and county residents need to stay off the roads if possible. He says warming shelters remain open for anyone who needs to get out of the cold.
click to download audioGraham says the Salvation Army Emergency Weather Shelter is open 24 hours. He says about 10 people were there overnight and about 20 people have utilized warming shelters in Christian County during the storm.
Grahams says road crews are continuing to work, but are not having much success.
