Trigg County Hospital Board of Trustees members got a glance at a “Year-In-Review” Thursday night, one that showcased just how busy — and perhaps successful — the local triage was in 2025.

A 12-minute video spelled out some key moments from the last 12 months, including:

+The hiring of several practitioners for new services, like Dr. William O’Hearn, APRN Angela Acree, Dr. Paul Herrell, Dr. Amber Cook Lane, APRN Jamie Slagle, and others.

+ The installation of a new MRI and accompanying suite.

+ The installation of a new CT machine.

+ New lights for the parking lot.

+ A new emergency department sign.

+ A new LED display board for the campus.

+ A repaired diesel generator for the main facility, one that’s been tested for the upcoming weather.

+ A remodeled mess hall and kitchen.

+ Removal of the main building’s old chimney.

+ A freshly-painted main facade.

+ New offices for human resources and patient records.

+ A remodel of the existing EMS shack.

+ Procurement of a $3.6 million grant for a new EMS shack.

+ A purchase of the former Rose’s building along Main Street, for future growth.

+ And continued community outreach through various avenues.

President & CEO John Sumner offered his praise.

In the first full month of the new MRI machine being installed, December, Sumner noted 51 MRI’s were completed, and more than $177,000 was billed out — which could result in more than $50,000, depending on the payer mix.

Furthermore, he confirmed the EMS shack renovation will give the building a better future.

A present, Sumner said the hospital’s six ambulances are “all under 100,000 miles,” and two are “brand new.” The transit ambulance, he added, already has 33,000 miles on it.

Sumner also noted that the fastest a new generator could come to Trigg County Hospital is this upcoming April.

Before going into executive session, trustees did approve the purchase of two heart monitors and two power-loading stretchers, all for the emergency department. Combined cost is just above $160,000.
