Christian County SEEK Funding Could Take Hit in 2026-2027

Christian County Public Schools is anticipating a decrease to state funding next year to reflect a decrease in enrollment. District Director of Finance, Jessica Darnell presented the School Board with the working budget Thursday night.

click to download audioShe is estimating a reduction to ADA, average daily attendance, of 200, which would equate to over $2.5 million in SEEK funding from the state.

click to download audioDarnell says they are not budgeting replacement buses or technology. The School Board will take its next look at the 2026-2027 budget in May.

In other business, the School Board approved the 2024-2025 Audit from DGA, following a summary from Auditor, Anna Herr.
