Human Trafficking Awareness Event Brings Education and Resources to Hopkinsville

A Human Trafficking Awareness and Training Event was hosted by the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center and Sanctuary, Inc. at the Silo Event Center Thursday morning.

Sanctuary Inc’s Manager of Sexual Assault Programs, Kelly Coker, says the training was designed to reach both professionals and everyday community members.

Speakers also pointed out the importance of knowing what to do if trafficking is suspected. Brown says Kentucky law requires action, especially when minors are involved.
