Two new deputies, along with a court security officer, were welcomed to Trigg County after being sworn in on January 5th.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says Deputy Amy Santiago joined patrol after serving as a member of the court security staff. Santiago also has experience from the Colorado Springs Police Department. Santiago will attend Basic Training with the Department of Criminal Justice Training in March.

Deputy Aidan Moore, a Trigg County resident, also joined patrol after serving as a deputy jailer, Acree says, adding that Moore will soon attend basic training with the Department of Criminal Justice Training.

Acree says Court Security Officer John Riordan, who is also a Trigg County resident, joined the court security division. Riordan is a retired law enforcement officer with an extensive background. Riordan has experience in criminal and narcotics investigations, as well as gang-related crimes, and has held departmental leadership roles.

Riordan will be attending Court Security Officer Basic Training with the Department of Criminal Justice Training as well. They were all sworn in during a ceremony by Trigg County Judge Executive, Stan Humphries.
