Julia Brooks, age 82, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Auburn Nursing and Rehab from natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Ms. Brooks was born on April 3, 1943, in Catskill, New York. She was a homemaker, a Christian, and a very patriotic woman. She felt her greatest accomplishment was being able to stay at home and raise her children.
Survivors include her sons, Dean (Diann) Starke of Pembroke, KY, Adam Quenten Starke of Winchester, Virginia; her daughter, Inez Renee (Tommy) Stevens of North Carolina; and her sisters, Margret and Violet.
