In anticipation of unveiling Fire Station 5, officials with the Hopkinsville Fire Department announced Monday the recent promotions of three department members to its Officer Corps.
Effective Monday, November 17:
Lewis Leavell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He was hired in 2018 as a Firefighter/EMT. He received his AEMT in 2021. Most recently, he served as an Acting Lieutenant and Engineer on Battalion 2. Lieutenant Leavell will now serve on Battalion 3.
Bryce Bicksler was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He was hired in 2018 as a Firefighter/EMT. He received his AEMT in 2019. He is currently the lead arson investigator for the department, and will serve as Lieutenant on Battalion 2.
Lane Thomas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He was hired as a Firefighter/EMT in 2019, and was most recently a back-up Engineer and Acting Lieutenant on Battalion 1. He will continue to serve as a Lieutenant on Battalion 1.
