Wilma Saturley, 86, of Hopkinsville

Wilma Joan Saturley, age 86, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Jennie Stuart Health. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date and burial of her cremains in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Joan was born in Hopkinsville on March 31, 1939, the daughter of the late Hershell Ray and Mary Lou Simpson Saturley. She did many things in her lifetime, from working at Thomas Industries to Flynn’s Enterprises to Elk Brand. She worked at the EOC in Ft. Campbell.

Joan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she volunteered in any way she could. She loved to sew and make quilts. Volunteering was her passion, from Helping Hands to the Boys and Girls Club, anywhere she could help, she wanted to be. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Anthony Leon “Tony” Saturley and Edward Ray Saturley; her three sisters, Lucretia Ann Saturley Russell, Phyllis Olean Saturley Boyle, and Wilda Yvonne Davis Hamilton; and her two brother-in-laws, Rick Hamilton and Bill Upton.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Lynn Sanders of Hopkinsville; her grandsons, Greg Bader Jr. of Clarksville, TN, and Seth Bader of Hopkinsville; her three great grandchildren; her two brothers, Troy Lynn Saturley of Sebree, KY, Bennie Eugene Davis of Hopkinsville; her three sisters, Ella Marie Upton of Hopkinsville, Susan (Jim) Alice Saturley Tomlinson of Hopkinsville, Debra Rena Simpson Hamby of Cadiz, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
