
Judge Matthew Schalk is seeking another term as the Division 2 District Court Judge of the 56th Judicial Circuit.
Judge Schalk says he filed his paperwork on Friday at the Caldwell County Courthouse and hopes to continue his service on the bench.

click to download audioSchalk began practicing law in 2006 and moved to Princeton the following year, in 2007.
He was first elected to the bench in the 2022 General Election, winning through a write-in campaign and defeating Jennifer Nelson. Schalk stepped into the role following District Judge Natalie White, who moved on to serve as the 56th Circuit Division 2 judge.
The Division 2 District Court Judge of the 56th Judicial Circuit serves the counties of Caldwell, Lyon, Livingston, and Trigg.
