Video Scoreboard & Audio Contract Approved For New CCHS

As construction continues on the new Christian County High School, district officials are adding back some amenities.

Thursday night, Project Manager Kevin Hitchell updated the School Board.

click to download audioHe adds they will be laying the wood floor in the auxiliary gym in next week. The project’s location will help extend the time they have to pave parking lots.

click to download audioHitchell also presented seven change orders including one for a four-sided video score board. School Board members Rebecca Pepper and Lindsey Clark pointed these changes are not putting the project over budget.

In other business, the School Board approved the advanced coursework learning plan, the first reading of the 2026-2027 school year calendar, and the tuition policy update for Inspire Early Learning. Dr. Melanie Barrett pointed out this was not a change in price, but rather, a chance to put current policies into official writing.
