Future Uncertain for Bluestreak Printers Building

New fences blocking off the Bluestreak Printers Building on East 9th Street will soon be up after a not favorable structural engineering report.

Engineer Kelly Gardner presented his findings to the Hopkinsville City Council Tuesday night.

Gardner says the building is not safe.

Mayor JR Knight says before a buyer could be found for the building, it would need to be declared surplus. Knight also says public input will be sought about what should be placed next door in the empty lot left by the demolition of the Phoenix Building.
