Susan Elaine Burke Powell, 72, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2025 at her home in Hopkinsville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Ethan Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Christian County, Kentucky she was born on July 14, 1953 the daughter of the late Charles O. Burke and Nola Walker Burke.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and worked as a Floor Associate at Walmart.
Survivors include her husband: Clarence Eugene “Flip” Powell of Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Matthew (Mary) West of Hopkinsville, KY, Mark (Dana) Powell of Cadiz, KY and Tim (Yvonne) Powell of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters, Amanda Crick and Angela Powell both of Hopkinsville, KY; her brothers, Donald (Nancy) Burke of Evansville, IN and Dennis (Cynthia) Burke of Hendersonville, TN and her sister, Sally Rogers of Hopkinsville, KY. Grandchildren, Dylan Crick, Bailey Crick, Malia West, Trey West, Jessica Bender, Ben Powell, Christopher Powell, Heather Powell, Kelli Lighty, Morgan Powell, Alicia Tagaban, Travis Barnett, Seth Riley and Tyler Spano and great grandchildren, Francis Bender, Sara Bender, Kyleigh Powell, Katherine Powell, Preston Gernon, Payden Gernon, Jon Adams, Mikey Tagaban, Kyle Mann, Mason Crick, Savannah Crick and Aubrey Jones.
