A Memorial Visitation for 76 year old Patty Daugherty Shelton of Cadiz, KY will be at 11AM – 1PM on Saturday, August 9, at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Patty Daugherty Shelton, age 76, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz.
Born on April 25, 1949, in Cadiz, she was the daughter of Carmon Daugherty and Ida Mae Ezell Daugherty, who preceded her in death.
Patty dedicated many years of her life to her career as a beautician, working at the former Myrt's Beauty Shop. She later worked at Economy Cee Bee and Washer's Catering for several years.
Patty was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known as "Gammie" and "NeNe", and was a dear friend to many.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Futrell (Shannon) of Cadiz and Kristin Sandefur (James) of Owensboro, KY; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025. There will be no formal service.
