Randy Owen Hightower, 68, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 9:48 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born October 1, 1956 the son of the late Carl Tribue Hightower and Bessie Pulley Hightower. He was a retired quality technician having worked most of his career at Phelps Dodge and Electrolux. He served as Union Steward for Local Union 1807. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Judy Garland Hightower; his brothers: Elvis Hightower, Dennis Hightower, and Rayburn Hightower; his sisters: Helen Poe and Elizabeth Case; and his granddaughter: Katelynn Norabell Hightower.
Survivors include his daughter: Tonya Hightower (Jason) Fleming of Crofton, KY; his son: Danny (Kelly) Hightower of Crofton, KY; his brothers: Larry (Linda) Hightower of Cadiz, KY, Charles (Bunnie) Hightower of Kelly, KY, Richard Hightower of Kelly, KY, and Jerry Hightower of Kelly, KY; his sisters: Wanda (Lawson) Hook of Hopkinsville, KY, Reta (Novie) Manire of Crofton, KY, and Geraline (Wesley) Petrin of Chesapeake, VA; his grandchildren: Taylor Hightower, Victoria (Brandon) Hightower, Owen Fleming, Abbigail Hightower, Magen Fleming, and Logan Hightower; and his great grandchildren: Bentley Deason and Nevaeh Deason.
