A Hopkinsville woman was charged with assaulting her girlfriend during a fight on East 9th Street Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 41-year-old Darnita Gordon got into a fight with her girlfriend and hit her with a cast iron pan, punched her in the face, and then cut her arm with a large knife.
The woman was taken to the hospital by private vehicle for treatment. Gordon was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
