A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a man on North Main Street in Pembroke Sunday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 30-year-old Carl Lind, along with his girlfriend, began yelling at another man before Lind shoved the man to the ground, struck him multiple times with a closed fist, then lifted him by the neck.
The man told law enforcement he would seek medical attention later, and Lind was located at a convenience store and arrested on charges of second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
He was also found to have two warrants for failure to appear.
