Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Man Charged With Drug Trafficking

A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Justin Morris for a seatbelt violation and found the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen in Memphis, Tennessee.

During the Investigation, he was reportedly found in possession of a handgun, meth, and fraudulent credit card materials.

Morris is charged with receiving stolen property, theft of motor vehicle registration plate, trafficking meth, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, no registration plates, failure to wear seat belts, and third- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
