High school athletic teams often have to host fundraisers to purchase new jerseys or get updated equipment, but a ‘Day of Giving’ in July will allow Trigg County Wildcat fans to donate money to make noticeable improvements across the district.

Trigg County High School Athletic Director Doug Gloyd visited the Cadiz Rotary Club on Tuesday afternoon and shared a $50,000+ wish list of items he would like to upgrade to improve the district’s sporting programs.

Among that list are funds for a new digital scorer’s table and new padding for the high school gymnasium, which is under renovation for the next six months.

Gloyd added he would like to update landscaping and provide other improvements at the football field.

Additionally, Gloyd would like to make the football field fence look better and redo the doors on the field house.

Other projects on the list include: signage on the press box on the football field and updated signage at the soccer fields, roll-away goals for the soccer fields, and new track equipment.

During the Cadiz Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian and Trigg County Farm Bureau Agent J.B. Moore offered to personally pay to provide a refresh of the ‘TCHS’ letters at the football field.

Funds for these projects are not provided by the board of education. One way to donate is by joining the Trigg County Legacy Club, an annual commitment to provide funds for continued upkeep.

For more information, you can contact Gloyd by calling (270) 522-2778.

The ‘Day of Giving’ will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, and will kick off on the WKDZ Country Club from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on 106.5 WKDZ.
