Thelma Szafran, 88, Woodburn Hay Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the funeral home.
A native of Artesia, CA, she was born December 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Andrew Hoscheit and the late Alice (Boyd) Hoscheit.
Thelma was a molder for Electricord. She was an avid Bingo player at the Senior Citizens Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Felix Szafran; her sons, Jimmy Woodward, Wayne Woodward, Jeff Woodward, and Kevin Woodward; her brothers, Johnny Hoscheit, Gordon Hoscheit, and Bernie Hoscheit.
Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Cavanaugh, Klamath, CA, Anna Wickham, Jacksonville, NC, Phyllis Whittredge, Norman, IN; her grandchildren, Sarah Woodward, Mary Hamilton, PJ Woodward, and Becky Woodward; and 6 great-grandchildren.
