
A man was charged after he hit a utility pole, and then two houses on Springmont Drive in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say Phillip Hawkins got mad at an ex-girlfriend left in his truck then hit a utility pole, a fire hydrant, and then two homes before getting out and fleeing on foot. The utility pole was broken in three places, the fire hydrant was knocked over, and two homes had damage to the exterior walls.
He was located down the road on Woodmont Drive and taken into custody and charged with DUI.
