After Five Years With Comer, Elder Bound For Frankfort

A 2012 graduate of Graves County High School, Corey Elder has long been a positive, forward face in the field for Congressman James Comer.

However, during Monday’s Pennyrile Area Development District Legislative Luncheon at Pennyrile Forest State Park in Dawson Springs, Elder announced he’s bound for a new adventure after this week — having accepted a key position Cornerstone Government Affairs in Frankfort.

He has full plans to split time between west Kentucky and the state’s capitol, working on bipartisan legislation in the public firm.

He called this part of the state “a destination,” and lauded PADD’s efforts and knowledge as key reasons behind legislative success.

As for Comer, Elder noted several federal budget bills remain at play in Washington, D.C.

Elder served Comer for five years.
