The fall pancake breakfast and yard sale Saturday at The Way Christian Youth Center in Cadiz moved the organization farther ahead on fundraising for a new educational building.
The Way Director Carl Heckmann said the community donated more than $8,500 through the pancake breakfast and yard sale. He said almost $190,000 of the needed $450,000 has been raised to fund the new education building.
Heckmann said The Way is so grateful to Trigg Countians for their generous support of Saturday’s Yard Sale and Pancake Breakfast. He said more than 100 people came to enjoy the breakfast prepared and served by American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA Boys faith based scouting programs.
The building at The Way will allow them to improve and expand services to students and the community including dedicated classrooms for both Christian and job skill training, showing family and faith-based movies, hosting a mentoring program and activities for students younger than currently using The Way.
