Area Legislators Pleased With Proposed State Budget

Three area state representatives say they are pleased with the priority placed on education in the two-year state budget that was approved by the Kentucky House of Representatives Thursday night.

Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett said State Representative Jason Petrie from Todd County, who chairs the Appropriations and Revenue Committee, worked hard to move the budget through the house earlier than normal. Dossett adds funding the retirement system was a priority.
