A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant Friday morning for an assault that happened on December 23rd.
Hopkinsville Police say 44-year-old Necoryell McGregor punched a woman in the face and choked her and as she got away from him he grabbed her dog and began choking it then threw the dog against the wall.
He was arrested Friday on North Main Street and charged with first-degree strangulation, torture of a dog or cat, and fourth-degree assault.
