A Hopkinsville woman was arrested and charged with running from police after an investigation into a report of shots fired on Richard Street Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were in the area for a report of shots fired and located 30-year-old Cari Lane and she ran around a parked vehicle trying to get away from them. She was arrested and reportedly found to have a syringe on her and marijuana was also located in the area where she was standing.
Police say five shell casings were located in the area but no one was injured and no property was damaged in the shooting.
It’s unknown if Lane was connected to the shots being fired. She was arrested on warrants for probation violation out of Warren and Hart counties and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and possession of marijuana in Hopkinsville.
