The American Jazz cruise ship reportedly met a Lake Barkley sandbar Wednesday afternoon bringing festivities to a halt on the lake.
Smaller watercraft could be seen around the American Jazz throughout the afternoon. Information from the U.S. Coast Guard was not available Wednesday afternoon.
The American Jazz is part of the American Cruise Line fleet that offers an eight-day cruise from Memphis to Paducah onto Clarksville and ending in Nashville. Lake Barkley and Dover is part of the cruise route.
