A pursuit involving a stolen vehicle in Christian County ended in a crash in Clarksville Sunday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say they were given information about a carjacking that had just happened in Clarksville and located the vehicle getting onto Interstate 24 in Oak Grove. Deputies reportedly attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver Larry Hardy fled traveling back into Clarksville.

During the pursuit, a deputies vehicle was reportedly damaged as he used techniques to try to stop the vehicle. The pursuit ended when Hardy failed to maneuver a turn at the intersection of Trenton Road and Tiny Town Road and hit a truck injuring the people inside.

Clarksville Police say a woman was at the dog park in Paddock Place Apartments in Clarksville when Hardy pulled her out of the backseat of her vehicle then punched her in the mouth before taking her car.

Hardy is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police and first-degree wanton endangerment and more charges are pending in Clarksville.

The two people injured in the wreck were taken to Tennova Healthcare for evaluation and treatment.
