A Caldwell County native will now be serving in the highest capacity for a Cincinnati and northern Kentucky based bank.
According to a release the Heritage Bank Board of Directors has named H. David Wallace, Esq. Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board following the unexpected passing of former CEO Chris Caddell. Wallace has been legal counsel to the bank since its inception 30 years ago and had been sharing CEO responsibilities with Charolette Vermillion, a long-term employee who was appointed to the board upon her retirement.
Wallace states Heritage Bank, which serves Cincinnati and northern Kentucky through 19 branches, will remain independent and focused on the local region. Wallace notes he will continue to follow advice handed down from his grandfather, to ‘never forget where you came from’ and ensures Heritage Bank will stay true to their mission and faith-based values while remembering those who helped them succeed over the years.
Wallace, who grew up on a farm in Caldwell County, was constantly engrossed in 4-H activities and as an adult has held several leadership roles in local and state 4-H organizations, was presented the 4-H Honorary Emerald Award, and has been inducted into the Kentucky 4-H Hall of Fame. He recently completed a four year term on the Kentucky State Fair Board. During his law career Wallace has been active in forming four de novo banks and was also a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 54th Judicial Circuit and the recipient of several awards.
Wallace originally met Heritage Bank founder Arnold Caddell at Erlanger Baptist Church when he joined the Sunday School class Arnold taught, leading Heritage Bank to be one of Wallace’s first clients after graduating law school.
