
A police officer and his passenger were injured in a wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 32-year-old Officer Jason Clardy was northbound near East 21st Street responding to a call of a shooting when a car driven by 26-year-old James Taylor of Hopkinsville pulled in front of him and the officer swerved to miss Taylor.
The officer then hit an SUV driven by 37-year-old Rebecca Greene of Hopkinsville.

The crash caused the officer’s vehicle to run off the road hitting a truck in a parking lot that was driven by 58-year-old Otho Kates of Hopkinsville.
Police say a passenger in the officer’s vehicle 17-year-old Shelby Isenfloff of Gracey had a minor hand injury. Clardy along with Isenfloff were taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
The officer was reportedly running lights and sirens when the crash happened.
Several other people were taken by private vehicles to be checked out at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Isenfloff was in the officer’s vehicle as part of a ride-along program.
