National Weather Service To Survey Storm Damage

The National Weather Service will be conducting storm surveys in Trigg, Christian, Caldwell, Lyon and other western Kentucky counties that sustained storm damage Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service shows storm damage in Marshall, Trigg, Caldwell, Lyon, Calloway, Webster and Henderson counties.

The graphic from the weather service shows a path of storm damage that began in Northeastern Calloway County and continued into southern Trigg County to near Cadiz.

The graphic also shows three paths of damage across Christian County.  One path was across the southern portion of Christian County, another path crossed central Christian County, including the Hopkinsville area.  And the third path began in southeast Caldwell County near the Cobb community and passed across the northwestern corner of Christian County to near the Mannington area.

The National Weather Service graphic also shows a storm path across East central Marshall County into West central Lyon County.

And storm damage was reported in Northeast Webster county and continued into Southwest Henderson County.

A storm survey team is surveying damage in Marshall and Lyon Counties Saturday.  Storm survey teams are planning to survey damage in Caldwell, Trigg and Christian Counties Sunday.  The National Weather Service says it is to be determined when the storm survey of damage will be completed in Webster and Henderson counties.

The line of storms that produced a number of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings across the region passed through between 6 and 8:00 Saturday and left damage across Trigg, Christian, Caldwell, Marshall and Lyon counties.
