Trigg County fiscal court members approved the 2020 budget for the county clerk’s office Monday night.
County Clerk Carmen Finley says her budget reflects a 14% increase over 2019.
Finley expects her office to bring in more money in 2020.

The additional revenue will come from an increase in fees charged for services. The increase comes from legislation that was approved by the Kentucky General Assembly earlier this year.
Finley notes the increases come as many counties are struggling to bring in enough revenue.

In other business, magistrates approved to pay up to $10,770 for poll workers and locations for Tuesday’s election.
Magistrate Cameron Sumner urged Trigg County residents to get out and vote and make an informed vote.

The next fiscal court meeting will take place on Monday night, November 18 at 6:00 in the basement of the Trigg County Annex building.
