Police were called to North Clay Street Saturday morning for an assault and found a man with head injuries
According to a Hopkinsville police report, 44-year-old Anissa McCombs of Hopkinsville told police her boyfriend of 13 years, who is not listed on the report, jumped on her and started choking her, punched her along with biting her finger after she came home from a friends. She reportedly hit him in the head with an ashtray during the fight.
Police say blood was found on the living room walls and floor.
McCombs allegedly had a mark on her finger but no other injuries.
Both allegedly told police they had been smoking crack and synthetic marijuana. McCombs is charged with second-degree assault.
